In 1986 Matthew Walther and a group of friends in high school really didn't like the way that their school disco was being run. For months we begged our Deputy Principal, Mal Bray to let us to run our own show.
Eventually Mr Bray caved in and our careers began. We spent all our money on equipment and records. We hired Roy Nicholls, the owner of Raindrop Lights to supply the audio and lighting equipment. He showed us how to assemble everything for our first school disco. From that point on, he hired all of us to work for him and operate a variety of different events.
24 years on, W.E.W is a Family owned hire company of its own. We have had the privilege of making friends and being involved along the way with many different people, concerts, artists, venues and events. A few are mentioned below.
